The administration of the University of Florida just doesn’t seem to be listening, and so we are going to hold another rally and march for justice for Kofi Adu-Brempong on April 20th. Kofi, a University of Florida graduate student from Ghana, allegedly “psychotic”, was the innocent victim of blatant police brutality, shot in the face on March 2nd of this year at his residence in Corry Village. Join the Coalition For Justice Against Police Brutality in demanding:
1. UPD (University Police Department) drop all charges against Kofi.
2. An independent Grand Jury investigation of the shooting.
3. Implementation of an independent review board for the UPD.
4. The indefinite unpaid suspension of the shooter, Officer Keith Smith, pending investigation.
5. Improvement of mental health and crisis services on campus to help prevent future incidents.
6. Elimination of UPD’s Critical Incident Response Team (CIRT).
